Summary
Deeper down, there's a castle. A ruin. The waters there are... gloomy. I don't know what happened. But there are records, if you would read them?
Lilac is a very isolated person, afraid of the world outside of the cave he calls home, and aching for connection. In desperation, he can be braver than he thinks he is; but it can take a lot to get him there in the first place.
He'd convinced himself he wanted to lead a quiet life in his cave, but what will happen when that turns out not to be entirely true?
Background
Lilac grew up in a little-known cave off the coast, and while he lives alone now, that wasn't always the case.
Everyone he's ever loved has left him. His parent was taken by a storm when he was young, the human children he used to play with grew up, and he was left on his own. This brought him great freedom and independance, but at what cost?
